Boston is a city filled with historic charm and breathtaking architecture, but that is not all that Boston has to offer. Boston is a melting pot of cultures that provide an exceptional dining experience along with their coastal location. Read along as we hit some of the best food locations in Boston!

Lunch Spots

  1. Quincy Market

You can find just about any type of food in the well-known Quincy Market. Located in downtown Boston, Quincy is a convenient stop to tour while exploring the city. The market offers everything from Greek cuisine, pretzels, seafood, and even gelato! I opted for some clam chowder in a deliciously indulging bread bowl, yum! I would recommend Boston Chowda Co. if you are looking for a delightful local delicacy. If you find yourself visiting Massachusetts’ capital, be sure to visit Quincy Market!

2. Bab Korean Bistro

If you love Korean cooking like me, you will not be disappointed by the delicious options at Bab Korean Bistro. This restaurant is conveniently located right off the light rail in Brookline (about 15 minutes out of downtown Boston). I had the delight of trying the beef bibimbap (pictured) and the japchae, a stir fried glass noodle dish. I highly recommend this spot and everything Bab Korean Bistro has to offer. Enjoy!

3. Legal Seafoods

Another must hit spot is the well known Legal Seafoods! This restaurant has several locations around Boston and the entire east coast, and if you can’t fit it into your food schedule while in Boston, you can eat it at their Boston airport location! Of course, my favorite thing is the Half Pound Maine Lobster Roll, but you can’t go wrong with any of the seafood options.

Dinner Spots

  1. Ocean Prime

If you’re looking for a splurge meal that will be worth the money, Ocean Prime is your place. With their surf-and-turf style menu, you will be pleasantly surprised with their delicious meal options and beautiful presentation. Pictured is the Ocean Roll! This is an excellent spot for a special occasion, and it is conveniently located in downtown Boston.

2. Giacomos

You can not say you truly explored Boston if you don’t explore The North End. One of the highest acclaimed Italian spots is Giacomo’s. They are a family-owned and operated business, and they make all of their delicious pasta in-house! I got the Fettuccini with prosciutto and peas drenched in a fantastic garlic sauce. Yum!

3. Rod Thai Family Taste

After a long day of exploring downtown Boston, Thai food, and specifically the delicious Rod Thai Family Taste, is a perfect recharge. Rod Thai is a family-owned and operated business located right by Northeastern University. I had the delight of trying their pineapple yellow curry, egg rolls, and some shrimp pad thai! Whether you are headed to Boston for a weekend trip or are a student at the local university, you must enjoy this delicious spot!

Sweets and Treats

  1. Mikes Pastry

If you are ready to top off your delicious meal, a must hit spot is Mikes Pastry’s. Located in the heart of The North End, Mikes is a small pastry shop that has been operating since 1946. If you go, you must try one of their famous cannoli’s. This spot will unquestionably cure your sweet tooth! Pictured is the Amaretto Cannoli. Go treat yourself!

2. When Pigs Fly

In Brookline, When Pigs Fly is a necessity to get unique fresh baked goods. Whether you’re looking for some sweet treats or some savory baked bread, this is your spot! I got the apple cinnamon bread and enjoyed it for breakfast each day during my stay. Go try it out!
